Onyx Longevity Support Policy

Onyx recognizes that no other industry is more concerned with product longevity than the medical industry which is why we make longevity support our first priority.By extending the life of our products we extend the product life-time value for our customers as well as saving on redesign and revalidation efforts.

As such, Onyx products are provided with a product longevity guarantee of a minimum of seven years, with ten-year support being typicaland extended support beyond ten years also possible.

Onyx together with suppliers, manages its commitment to product longevity with rigorous controls on upstream supply chain systems and processes, ensuring that customers can have the utmost confidence in the quality of our products.

Onyx prioritizes the selecting of longevity supported components during the product development stage to ensure device longevity and fewer component changes during the entire lifecycle of our products.

We cooperate with our critical component first-tier suppliers to ensure that extended longevity support, product roadmaps and planning of component selection for our products continues to be to future-proof.

Component Changes

Onyx notifies customers of component end-of-life (EOL) six (6) months before any component phases out. This ensures our customers have sufficient time to plan for LTB, or new component phase in. We focus special attention on the quality of new components to make sure our customers are getting the maximum benefit from any updates.

Product EOL

Onyx notifies customers of product end-of-life (EOL) twelve (12) months before any product phases out. Customer notifications include recommended alternative products or models that are availableas suitable replacements.Customers have the option of selecting from the alternative products or models, or choosing the ten-year delivery support program.

Guaranteed Ten-year Delivery Program after EOL

Onyx is now able to provide an extended ten-year product delivery program after end-of-life (EOL). With our temperature and humidity controlled storage facility, we keep our device components in like-new condition for up to ten years after a product’s EOL, with verified regular storage reports.
